Role Description The Locksmith role at Mr. Keys is a full-time, on-site position based in Brick, NJ. The locksmith will install, repair, rekey, and maintain locks and door hardware for residential and commercial clients, including deadbolts, cylinders, door closers, and panic hardware. Daily work may include responding to service calls, performing lockouts, troubleshooting access issues, and recommending security solutions. The role also involves working on aluminum storefronts, steel and wood doors, and related hardware, ensuring doors operate safely and securely. The locksmith will interact directly with customers, provide clear explanations of work performed, and maintain accurate records of materials used and services completed. Qualifications Strong skills in locksmithing, including lock installation, rekeying, repair, and troubleshooting. Experience with maintenance and repair of doors, hardware, and related building components. Ability to perform welding and basic millwork as needed for door and frame adjustments or custom fittings. General maintenance skills to support residential and commercial service calls. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally to job sites. Comfort working with hand and power tools, and adherence to safety procedures. Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in measuring, fitting, and aligning hardware. Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset. Prior experience in locksmithing or related trades preferred; industry certifications are a plus.
