Position: Healthcare Administrative Specialist

Type: Contract

Compensation: $40–$50/hour

Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

Evaluate and streamline patient access workflows, including registration, scheduling, and insurance verification.
Design efficient processes for prior authorizations and utilization support through payer portals.
Review and manage claims and revenue cycle operations to ensure timely submission and resolution.
Develop strategies for remittance and payment posting , ensuring accurate reconciliation against clinical charges.
Collaborate with providers and payers to enhance credentialing and enrollment processes.
Work independently and asynchronously to optimize health information management and practice administration.

Qualifications

Must-Have

3+ years of daily, hands-on experience in a healthcare administrative/back-office role.
Direct experience with payer portals (e.g., Availity , Optum/Change Healthcare , Waystar ).
Currently working in a healthcare administrative role.
Based in the United States .

Preferred

Experience as a Practice Administrator, Medical Office Manager, or Revenue Cycle Specialist.
Background in Health Information Management or medical records administration.
