About the Opportunity

Huso , One Michelin Star restaurant by Marky’s Caviar and two-time Top Chef winner Buddha Lo , is seeking a passionate, hands-on Sommelier to lead our Beverage team.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Michelin-level or luxury hospitality, with extensive knowledge of wine, beverage service, and the ability to deliver an exceptional, highly personalized guest experience.

Position Summary

The Sommelier will oversee all aspects of wine and beverage service and the cocktail program , working closely with the General Manager, Executive Chef, and front-of-house team to maintain the restaurant’s high standards of hospitality and service.

The ideal candidate is a knowledgeable and engaging hospitality professional who can confidently guide guests through the wine program, provide thoughtful pairings, and contribute to the continued development of the restaurant’s beverage experience. This position requires strong leadership, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for wine and fine dining.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Sommelier in a Michelin Guide, Michelin-starred, or comparable fine-dining restaurant
• Strong knowledge of wine regions, varietals, producers, vintages, and classic and emerging wine trends
• Extensive knowledge of wine and beverage service, including Champagne, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic offerings
• Strong ability to create thoughtful wine pairings and craft cocktails in collaboration with the culinary team
• Excellent guest-facing communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to confidently educate guests and staff about wines in an engaging, approachable manner
• Experience managing wine inventory, purchasing, receiving, storage, and cellar organization
• Familiarity with restaurant POS and reservation systems, including Toast and RESY
• Strong financial and analytical skills, including beverage cost control and maintaining target margins
• Strong leadership, training, and team-development skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure fine-dining environment
• English fluency
• Sommelier certification through Court of Master Sommeliers, WSET, or a comparable program is preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods, walk up and down the stairs throughout the day, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform the physical demands of a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Additional Information:

We are closed on most major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
