Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst / Business Specialist with strong financial analysis, SAP FI/CO, and data management skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing SAP cost data, extracting and preparing financial information, supporting monthly financial close activities, and assisting with budgeting and Long-Range Planning (LRP).

The candidate must have strong proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access, along with a solid understanding of financial and managerial accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, validate, and prepare SAP cost data for financial analysis and reporting.
\n
• Support monthly financial close activities and related accounting functions.
\n
• Assist with financial budgeting, forecasting, and Long-Range Planning (LRP).
\n
• Integrate data from multiple sources and systems to develop accurate financial reports.
\n
• Analyze complex financial data and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
\n
• Develop and maintain dynamic financial models and advanced Excel-based reports.
\n
• Design and maintain data-driven reporting solutions using Excel, Access, and other query-based tools.
\n
• Validate data accuracy, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
\n
• Manage multiple projects and prioritize deliverables to meet business deadlines.
\n
• Present financial information and explain accounting concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
\n
• Collaborate with finance teams, shared services, and management to improve financial processes.
\n

Required Qualifications

\n
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or financial reporting.
\n
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP FI/CO and SAP cost data.
\n
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data manipulation, reporting, and financial modeling.
\n
• Experience with Microsoft Access and data query-driven reporting tools.
\n
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, and general accounting practices.
\n
• Experience extracting, integrating, validating, and analyzing data from multiple systems.
\n
• Ability to develop financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
\n
• Strong analytical, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
\n
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\n
• Strong project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
\n
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision at the advanced level.
\n
• Experience working in a shared services organization is preferred.
\n
• CPA, CMA, MBA, or another advanced degree is preferred.
